This Privacy Policy explains how Contact Export (the “App”) handles your data. We are committed to ensuring that your personal information and contact lists remain private and secure.
1. Information Access & Usage
To provide its core functionality, the App requires access to the following information on your device:
Contacts Permission: The App requires access to your device's Address Book. This is used locally and temporarily to allow you to select contacts and convert them into VCF, Excel, CSV, or PDF formats.
No Data Transmission
- No Server Uploads: Your contact information never leaves your device. We do not have servers that store or "harvest" your contact lists.
- Local Processing: All file generation and data formatting happen entirely within the App's local environment on your iPhone or iPad.
2. Data Storage & Sharing
- Storage: The exported files (VCF, Excel, CSV, PDF) are stored in your device's local memory or within the "Files" app. You have full control over these files and can delete them at any time.
- Third-Party Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your contact data with any third parties, advertisers, or marketers.
3. Third-Party Services
The App may use minimal third-party tools to ensure a stable experience:
- App Store Analytics: We may use standard Apple analytics to monitor app crashes and performance. This data is anonymized and does not include your contact information.
- In-App Purchases: All transactions are processed securely by Apple. We do not see or store your payment details.
4. Security
Because the App operates locally, the security of your data is protected by your device's operating system (iOS/iPadOS) and your own passcode or biometric settings. We recommend only sharing your exported contact files through secure and trusted channels.
5. Children's Privacy
The App does not knowingly collect or request information from children under the age of 13. Since no data is uploaded to our servers, we do not maintain any database of user information.
