Welcome to Dog Breed Identifier By Image (the "App"), developed and published by Kevin Ghori.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the App and its related services ("Services"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Definitions

  • App: The mobile application Dog Breed Identifier By Image.
  • User / You: Any person who downloads, installs, accesses, or uses the App.
  • Services: All features offered through the App, including AI-powered dog breed identification, scan history, breed information, and related functionalities.
  • User Content: Any photos, images, or other data submitted by users for breed identification.

2. Eligibility

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. If you are under the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the App with permission from a parent or guardian.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you represent that you are at least 13 years of age or that you have obtained the necessary parental or guardian consent.

3. Description of Services

Dog Breed Identifier By Image uses AI-powered analysis to identify dog breeds from photos taken with your device camera or selected from your photo library.

The App provides:

  • Real-time dog breed identification from photos
  • Detailed breed information including origin, size, weight, lifespan, colors, and personality traits
  • A searchable list of 240+ supported dog breeds
  • A scan history of previously identified breeds saved on your device

AI-generated breed identification results are based on the submitted photo and the capabilities of the underlying AI model. Results are provided for informational and educational purposes only. The App does not guarantee 100% accuracy in breed identification and should not be used as a definitive source for veterinary, breeding, or legal purposes.

4. User Content and AI Processing

When you submit a photo for breed identification:

  • Your photo is transmitted securely to Google Firebase AI (Gemini) solely to perform the breed identification.
  • The photo is processed only for the purpose of generating the breed identification result.
  • We do not permanently store your submitted photos on our own servers.
  • Breed identification results and associated photos may be saved locally on your device as part of your scan history.

You retain ownership of all photos you submit. By submitting a photo, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process that photo solely to provide the App's identification services to you.

5. Accuracy Disclaimer

Dog breed identification is performed using artificial intelligence and may not always be accurate. Factors such as mixed breeds, image quality, lighting, and breed similarities may affect results. The App's breed identification results:

  • Are automatically generated by AI and may contain inaccuracies
  • Should not be used as a substitute for professional veterinary assessment
  • Do not constitute certification of a dog's breed for any legal, insurance, or breeding purpose

We make no guarantees about the accuracy or reliability of breed identification results. Any decisions made based on App results are at your own risk.

6. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Some features of the App require a paid subscription. The App offers an auto-renewable subscription via the Apple App Store:

  • Weekly Premium — Removes ads and unlocks full breed detail access

Exact price and billing terms are displayed within the App at the time of purchase, in your local currency.

  • Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store payment system.
  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current subscription period at the price of the selected plan.
  • You may manage or cancel subscriptions by going to: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions

We do not have access to your payment details.

7. Refund Policy

iOS (Apple App Store)

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We cannot issue refunds directly. Refund decisions are handled solely by Apple.

8. Camera & Photo Library

The App requests access to your camera and photo library to enable dog breed identification. By granting these permissions, you acknowledge that:

  • Photos are submitted voluntarily by you for the purpose of breed identification
  • You have the right to use and submit the photos you provide
  • Photos will be transmitted to our AI provider solely for identification purposes

You may revoke camera or photo library permissions at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security. Revoking permissions will disable the breed identification feature.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit illegal, harmful, infringing, or offensive content
  • Submit content that violates the rights of others
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disrupt the App
  • Use the App for unlawful activities, fraud, or to harass others
  • Interfere with the App's functionality, security, or other users
  • Attempt to circumvent subscription billing

Violation of these rules may result in suspension or termination of access.

10. Intellectual Property

All App content, including:

  • Software and algorithms
  • Design and user interface
  • Branding, name, and logo
  • Breed database and associated content
  • AI technology integrations

are the intellectual property of Kevin Ghori or its licensors.

You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any part of the App without permission.

11. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services to provide certain features and functionality. These services include:

  • AI breed identification — Google Firebase AI (Gemini)
  • Analytics & crash reporting — Google Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics
  • Remote configuration — Google Firebase Realtime Database
  • Push notifications — Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM)
  • Advertising — Google AdMob (banner, interstitial, native, and app-open formats), where applicable
  • Apple's In-App Purchase system for subscription billing (iOS)

When you use the breed identification feature, your photo is securely transmitted to Google Firebase AI services solely for the purpose of performing the identification.

These third-party services process data according to their own privacy policies and terms.

12. Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is" and "as available."

The AI-generated breed identification results:

  • Are automatically generated and may contain inaccuracies
  • Should not be considered a definitive or certified identification
  • Should not replace professional veterinary or breed-certification services

We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of identification results. Any decisions you make based on App results are at your own risk.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kevin Ghori shall not be liable for any damages arising from:

  • Use of the App
  • Reliance on AI-generated breed identification results
  • Inability to use the App
  • Service interruptions
  • Loss of data stored on your device
  • Any decisions made based on breed identification results

This includes direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages.

14. App Updates and Service Changes

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the App at any time.

Updates may include:

  • New features
  • Bug fixes
  • Performance improvements
  • Compliance updates

Failure to install updates may result in limited functionality.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • Required by law
  • Necessary to protect the App or users

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately end. Any active subscription will continue to be governed by Apple's subscription terms until you cancel it through your Apple ID settings.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use periodically. All updates will appear on this page with the updated date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

Note: If you are located in another jurisdiction, local consumer protection laws may apply.

If you downloaded this App from the Apple App Store, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies:
